Hi friends,
First time here.
I`ve painted the picture for myself. These days I am trying to improve my English via reading Warhammer series by Bill King. My English will probably get better..., but here you can see the direct result of it – the picture itself.
I had been taught that negative characters are easier to paint than good ones. Despite that, why not to enjoy painting kind of an evil. Do you enjoy it too? I mean the painting of course.

I painted the picture with Wacom Intuos 3. It was entirely made in Photoshop CS1, including the sketch phase. After creating basic sketch I applied Render/Lighting Effects filter and all the rest was painted with Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow.

Great first post...my only crit is that the foreshortening of his left arm makes it look a bit short...it looks correct when you really study it but not at first glance...maybe a different angle and a bend at the elbow would help.

the right shoulderpad kinda makes the foreshortened right arm look weird but hey this is really fine piece of drawing

I registered just to comment how detailed your work it. I've just became your biggest fan T_T. I've seen your other works to, and I absolutely love Dwarf and Harlequin. I spent hours just to look over the tiniest of details, the heads, skulls and everthing that embodied the characteristics of a Chaos Marine.

You, good sir, are by far the greatest artist I've ever seen! You are a genius! My case is the same as veldanen's, I registered just to comment. Dude, can I ask you a big favor. I have a special character of mine...one I made up. You see I'm planning on being a cartoonist and I have like hundreds of cartoon ideas, would you be able to make me a picture of this character if I drew you a detailed enough picture? I would really appreciate that! Like...you don't understand how much I'd love you for that. But if I show you this character you may NOT steal him...this character embodies everything I am! Well, you don't know his story either. So what do you say?
